Mr. Ngawang Yeshi la talking about Library of Tibetan work and Archives(LTWA), Dharamsala

21st April 2016: The General Secretary of the Library of Tibetan Work and Archives (LTWA), Dharamsala, Mr. Ngawang Yeshi la and his faculty members visited TCV School Suja as a part of their rare Photo Exhibition Campaign among Tibetan schools.  A day ahead of the exhibition, Mr. Ngawang Yeshi la gave an introductory talk to the senior students and the teachers about the work and the programs of Library of Tibetan Work and Archives (LTWA), Dharamsala and the purpose of the exhibition.

The next day, there was a photo Exhibition and Book Exhibition cum sale by the Photography and Publication Department of LTWA respectively. There were more than 150 rare photographs of early Tibet which was in the safe custody of LTWA Photography Department and the photo were displayed in chronological order. Beside the photo exhibition, a rich collection of both Tibetan and English books from the LTWA were displayed. There were books from His Holiness, books published by LTWA and some children’s literature in Tibetan. Many interested staff and students hovered around the stall.

The students were taken to the hall class-wise. Many of the pictures were rare antique photo and spoke a lot about our great country. The students also interacted with Mr. Sonam Tsering la, the Head of the Department, Photography Section, LTWA. The students and staff members hovered around the book corner and they also did lots of purchase. At the center of the Exhibition venue, an old black and white movie on Tibet was shown.
