DSC0275618th August 2015: Different literary activities are arranged by the students themselves in the school hall, hostels and dormitories. These programs and events are organized by students’ Departments such as English, Tibetan and Chinese Departments. All these programs are given full support by the students themselves by taking part. Such programs in the school are necessary because these programs create various platforms for greater masses of the students who cannot participate in major programs.

DSC02754Recently, there was Tibetan literary competition between the boys and girls initiated by the two hostels. As a gesture of support and motivation, teachers came up in good attendance. This event was also followed by Chinese literary contest in which students presented everything in Chinese language. The organizers as well as the school Principal requested the students to learn Chinese language too at the same time without neglecting Tibetan language, which is of course our national identity. Late Panchen Rinpoche had said, “If you don’t know your own language, its shame”.

This good culture of organizing such evening program by the students themselves must be maintained and preserved. Such type of program should also have ripple effect in other schools too. The richer the literary activities, the more skills students acquire. The school Principal also encourages the students as well as individual classed to come up with more activities in future.
