Saka Dawa is an auspicious month for the entire Buddhist community around the world because Lord Buddha’s five important deeds happened in this world. As such it was believed that everything multiplies into lakhs. So, a lot of good deeds such as reducing anger, committing sins, mass praying, giving alms etc are done during this month as a way of wiping away the bad deeds one had done. The school had also observed this auspicious month in order to impart the future generation the rich culture as one of the main mission of TCV school is to imbibe these good tradition and culture among the children and to preserve and restore these.
