15th April 2013: A brief function was held in the school hall Phuntsok Deshi to officially welcome and bade farewell to the Directors and principal. The function was attended by Mr. Thupten Dorjee la, the general secretary of TCV Schools, Mr. Lobsang Dawa la, the Chief Audit of TCV schools who had been here for the last few days to do the final handover, the school new as well as former Director, new principal Mr. Karma Sherab la, both the staff and students. Prior to the function, the official handover was done successfully in the school office, with the Representative Officers from the local Tibetan Settlement offering scarves to both the out-going and new Directors and Principal.

The function was hosted by Mr. Tenzin Choekyab la, the chairperson of Welfare Committee. During the function Mr. Thupten Dorjee la talked about the background history of the transfer and praised Mr. Ngodup Wangdue la for his sense of dedication and sincerity. He also welcomed the new Director, Mr. Sonam Sichoe la and the new Principal Mr. Karma Sherab la and offered all of them traditional Tibetan scarves.

Mr. Ngodup Wangdue la gave his parting speech during the function. In a fatherly manner, he advised the students to be good and co-operative as before. He also thanked his co-worker and colleagues for their co-operation and requested them to take Suja to its own height.

Mr. Sonam Sichoe la, the new Director accepted the new post and requested everyone to support and stand by him in order to move Suja shoulder to shoulder with other good schools. Mr. Karma Sherab la, the new principal also accepted the new post and took pledge before the gathering that he would do his best with full dedication as long as his physical body endures. He also requested both the staff and students to stand by him and co-operate.

Before the function concluded, the school captain Miss Ngawang Choedon presented the out-going Director, Eight Auspicious labeled bowls stuffed to its brim with sweets and nuts as a souvenir on behalf of all the students and monitors. While wishing the Director good wishes, she offered scarves to the new Director Mr. Sonam Sichoe la and the new Principal Mr. Karma Sherab la.
