Vibrant chants of the prayers, sanctified the frozen air of the Billing (World famous Paragliding spot at 2900 metres) on last Saturday (04th Nov 2012),when students of Class X after scaling the height by foot, held a prayer session there. The prayer session was held to pay homage to the martyrs of Tibet who has laid their lives in protest against the brutal policies of Communist Party in Tibet, apart from paying obeisance to the deceased it was organised to express their solidarity and to protest in unison against the Communist Party’s brutal policies in Tibet.

Junior Sing-A-Song Nite

Inter Class English sing a song nite was held on 8th November in the Junior school Hall. Prior to the competition, the school western band Phuntsok Deshi performed one Tibet Support Group Song, ” March For Freedom”. After that the host, Mrs. Tseten Youdon gave a brief introduction about the Song Competition, which had been practised well in advance by respective English teachers. There were 15 classes taking part in the contest. Three judges were appointed by the host. The songs comprised of various genres. There were songs from the late 80s to latest 21st century songs from One Direction and Justin Beiber etc.

The song competition was dedicated to the great martyrs for their great sacrifice for our country. The contest lasted for little less than 2 hours. Finally, the school Director was called and prizes were distributed to the winning class. Everybody in the hall seemed fully satisfied with the singers.

Senior Science and Maths Quiz:

The second Senior Science and Maths Quiz was conducted in the school hall on 1st November. The participating classes were class VI, VII and VIII comprising of  14 students. The groups were given the names after the seven colours in the Rainbow VIBGYOR. There were as usual 5 rounds with five quiz masters. The host Mr. Tenzin Tsewang la began the quiz with the brief introduction to the teams and the decorations on the stage. He requested the Principal to draw the names of the students from each class. During the actual contest, the participants did well and the Principal lauded both the participants and the science and maths department. The winners were given prizes.
